High Lonesome Road

High Lonesome Road

The High Lonesome Road is a great place to see if you have the skills to take on some of the more difficult roads in the area. It’s not too difficult but has just enough challenge to be slightly more than a “beginner” road.

It’s located just a few miles from downtown Bisbee which makes it very easy and convenient to get to. It begins as a graded dirt road and then becomes a rough and rocky two-track across the desert, with several small washes along the way. This is a great road for beginners to get into easy technical riding without anything that will overwhelm them.

If you feel comfortable riding on this road, then you should be okay riding on the other “intermediate level” roads in the area.
